The best of #savour2013
This is Foie Gras with Beet, Rhubarb and Riberry from OSIA. Still as good as I remembered it. Seared on the outside, smooth and creamy on the inside.
This is what happened last night. Only slight adjustments to colour, saturation and sharpness. #lightning #nofilter #camera+ #snapseed
Last meal in KL. Fierce curry house for biryani. The rice was pretty normal, but the flavour is in the meat. It was an interesting presentation. First it came in a little pot/bowl sealed by dough. Then it was removed and the contents poured out. I found out that if the meat and rice is cooked together, it’s called dum biryani. Interesting. And I finished the meal with a Nutella thosai. Good way to end my trip. :) #food #roadtrip #yum
Supper for last night. Yummy chicken wings from jalan ah lor. See the bottom right? The shop has 2 of those, and about 4 people just doing chicken wings. #food #roadtrip #yum
Dai Ha Mee, or translated to, big prawn noodle. This was good, but maybe I was expecting too much (after my friend raved about it), I thought this was just… good. The gravy is almost like chilli crab. Just not as spicy and thick. Bottom left shows you a close up and bottom is a comparison with the spoon. #roadtrip #food #yum
Surprise of the trip: awesome beef horfun. The beef is tender, gravy just the right consistency and the horfun a nice wok hei. 2 thumbs up! #roadtrip #food #yum
The best roast pork I’ve eaten so far. Nice crispy skin with tender meat. It’s almost like they cook the meat perfectly first before they sear or crisp the skin. The char siew on the top right and bottom right are different. The top is good, but the bottom one is more flavourful. The slightly charred surface also adds to the overall taste. #roadtrip #food #yum
